Pearson Adair & Co. has project experience with gathering, processing, refining, transportation and storage assets utilized in the energy sector. Our firm has worked with owners to select technology, determine project feasibility, develop scopes of work, negotiate contracts, as well as to monitor construction, testing, and startup.
On behalf of international oil & gas producer, conducted gas processing technology screening and economic evaluation study to select optimum NGL recovery process. Evaluated refrigeration, cryogenic, and propane recovery processes based on regional commodity pricing scenarios, operating costs, and capital costs. Also evaluated and recommended NGL recovery train optimization based on equipment reliability/availability modeling and capital cost trade-off.
Project Development Advisory
Retained by the Department of Revenue and the Department of Natural Resources to analyze and provide input regarding the negotiations with potential developers of the Alaska Gas Pipeline. Analyzed potential project development scenarios, including evaluation of product market supply/demand, expected gas processing scenarios and commercial terms for gas processing and product sales. Provided NGL pricing forecast advice and audited project financial models.
Natural Gas Storage and Pipeline Project
Performed preliminary engineering, capital cost estimates, and route selection for natural gas storage and transmission project in northern California. Project scope included gas compression, dehydration, measurement, and pipelines.
Aktobe Complex Gas Treatment Plan
Evaluated project design of 67 MMscf/d gas compression dehydration, amine treatment, and NGL recovery facility located near Aktobe, Kazakhstan.
Proposed Pipeline Project
Evaluation of start-up and risk management strategies for a proposed interstate product pipeline. Work included determination of probable utilization rates, product mix projections, and inventory requirements, as well as complementary risk management plans.
Gas Storage Scoping Study
Reviewed the technical feasibility and prepared capital and operation cost estimates for the reactivation of an existing gas storage facility located in south central Texas. Coordinated the efforts of a reservoir engineering firm and compiled final study to provide an independent assessment of the feasibility of the proposed project.
Gas-To-Liquids Project Feasibility and Market Studies
Retained by clients and potential investors to evaluate potential GTL projects proposed for the U.S. Mid-Continent, U.S Gulf Coast, Alaska, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia. We have worked for technology providers, project developers, gas producers and investors to provide input on project design, evaluate market supply/demand and pricing, negotiate commercial contracts, assess pilot plant scale up, and complete overall project feasibility studies, including risk assessment using Monte Carlo analyses.
